Hold up...

So I haven't uploaded a deviation since they introduced this new system of critiquing.

But I have to have a subscription so that critiques can be an option now?! What is this crap? I'm usually up for whatever changes DA wants to go for, but that's just insane. A lot of people on DA don't critique unless they see that it says "Advanced critiqued encouraged" above the picture. You can easily say that I could just put up in my comments that I would like critique, but honestly, who reads what I have to say? Very few people do.

Grrr...and I like my critiques too...but not on everything...

Plus I'm really tired of getting stupid messages telling me to buy a subscription...

Yep.

The options of "Critique Discouraged" and "Critique Encouraged" don't exist anymore. They have some new system, but it's only available to those who have subscriptions.

CA's okay...a lot of the people there are nice, just...don't have a "furry" looking avatar...^^;

This option is a total waste. If people want to critique me, they can do so in my comments. Plus, people never really paid close attention if critique is requested or not, they would say what they think anyway. So it doesn't really make a difference how they call it now, and if you need a subby to receive critique, I still receive comments with the thoughts of people. Like I said, a waste.

Oh I know, I think it's a stupid idea too. Isn't the point of DA to improve your art? People can still give critiques in comments...but they probably won't as often.

I'm so adjective, I verb nouns.

Exactly...

DA wants to come off as a site where artists can get help on their art, yet they're making it harder and harder to do so.

Yep. They took away the "Critique Encouraged" option for this new option that only those who have subscriptions are allowed to have. Therefore it's now a little harder for people without subs to get crits 'cause let's face it...if you asked for it in your comments, not too many people actually read the artists comments.
